I'm more familiar with April March's cover of Laisse tomber les filles, as some of us probably are, because it was in Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof. I can't wait to hear Lili's version, it's going to be great.

Well, pretty much her latest album that came out in March 2010 was a failure in France(sales-wise), and so BB Brunes is giving her a second chance I guess you can say

I don't think her being a guest star with BB Brunes will in any way help her with her own Ueds nightmare in France. The French public have spoken and they don't like her last two albums. We can argue about the piss poor promotion of Psych and Ued's, but probably the early polling or reaction of the French public didn't give anyone inspiration to do a mass marketing campaign. In other words Alizee's lack of success in France cannot be blamed to a great degree on lack of marketing. It is just my opinion based on what I think is common sense reasoning.
Probably what got Alizee invited to this event by this band is probably as simple as she made an acquaintance with one or all of the band members or they are friends of Jeremy or through mutual acquaintances. Just more common sense reasoning on my part. If she was given a chance to perform one or more songs from Ueds an argument could be made that the exposure could maybe reach an audience that might promote it. Unfortunately that is clearly not the case. It saddens me to reach these conclusions and I pray that I am wrong on all counts.
