Of course I know that it is Alizée, but at some points in the video she does look very...different.

I'm down with this version. Not as fond as of the original, but I understand what they're doing with the video and song.

Alizée, singing a song about Nico, dressed and wigged as Nico, with a wierd sort of sound like Nico, while riding a bike - a reference to Nico's death. I think there's a much more complicated frame of reference than most are giving this credit for.

Perhaps. I just know that I like certain aspects of it, but I guess I would just like a video and a song that is like this song "sounds".

And, I didn't really get it, not to mention it did look rather low budget. Perhaps with higher sales (or luck in finding someone really good at video editing) that would improve. But Alizée chose them for whatever reason. But that's not the main point. Obviously there was a lot of thinking about this which being involved with I probably would have liked it better. They did a little dance with the brushing off at the beginning. They had to think that up and decide to do it. But, just because I can acknowledge the thought that goes into it, that doesn't mean that I either understand why or that I like it. I actually like that part and the birds, but overall it's just kind of like ... I don't know. Take what you like I guess and it's good that some people really like it.

As Snatcher said, nice catch. I didn't connect the two and was having trouble associating the lyrics to the video. I've been watching it a lot and I've been growing more and more fond of it.
