I see what you mean to some degree, jalen, but it feels WAY more Lui Ou Toi to me. But yeah, not completely dissimilar from Moi... Lolita. I would even say it has a slow Gourmandises (song) feel, do to the prevailance of the piano in the composing. Her voice, though, actually sounds more reminiscent of many songs from MCE.

Two ways:

Vous m'inspirez -- this is formal, polite, or refers to a plural "you."

Tu m'inspires -- this is informal, friendly, and refers to a singular "you."

Thanks deep. This helps a lot.

One day I hope to get a firm grasp on the French language

Smile youpidou & the nickname

youpidou

I understand that the French "youpidou" is comparable to the English "yippee" in meaning - a cry of joy. They probably elected not to translate the word in the English version to keep the same meter (i.e. three syllables).

the nickname

A whole (locked) thread discusses this subject here. Since the Corsican girl once played around with mystic seances, I decided to ask the spirit world what it thought by taking a box of Edie-Sedgwick-era New York City subway tokens and tossing them to the ground.

The results speak for themselves!

This question refers to another in the Jacotey creed;

Why are Papa Jo's early photos watermarked with "Getchell"?

First, I don't understand Jalen's question. Second, can any body give me a transcript of some kind that lists what she is saying in En Concert, like between songs, and such? I have tried and failed miserably to break it apart into individual words.

1. If you go on Papa Jo's photography website, all will be made clear

2. All I've been able to decipher is she says at points "very loud", "you know the words, sing with me", and then she lists off all the other people on stage
