Winking?
Hi all!
Here goes my first post to this forum... In the “Fan De” 2003 interview on M6, the narrator comments that Alizée will not agree to do just about anything for the camera and they show her apparently refusing to wink. This seems all done in good fun and I am not sure if she really refused to do so. This just made me wonder... Could it be that Alizée really refuses to wink? I don’t recall ever seeing her winking (but I am very far from having seen every picture/footage from her). Anyone knows if Alizée ever stated that she does not like winking? Ohhh yea, almost forgot to mention that Alizée is the most beautiful person I have ever seen on a screen. I just discovered her a few weeks ago and I am still stunned by her beauty. I am so frustrated that I did not know about her years ago... I am from the province of Quebec in Canada (mainly French speaking part of the country) and I am surprised I had never heard about her in the local media. Just looking at her smile makes me happy. Never quite felt this way before about any singer or movie star.

I hope you'll enjoy your stay here... there's cheese squares and punch on the table over there if you'd like. Me thinks that she refused to wink because it was perpetuating the image of an alluring and seductive young woman which I think we've all seen she wasn't exactly the most fond of. This was under her own will, so...... yeah....

You're not alone Mr. Personally I found out about Alizée close to a year ago and still feels like I've only scratched the surface. I also agree with you with that she should be more famous than she is, especially since 90% of the artists that are famous now aren't even good.
Now, for the winking part, I am not sure if I can remember the interview, but I remember a picture that wasn't so long ago of her winking, I'll find it and then edit this post.

What a nice group of people we have here! Thank you all for the nice comments. So nice comments indeed that I now feel some pressure to be a good recruit... Unfortunately, I will not be able to post much most of the time, but I will try my best.
I am happy that I found this place where I already learnt a lot about Alizée. It is difficult for me to discuss Alizée with my relatives and friends and I will explain why in another thread (because I think the subject deserves a dedicated thread). In here, I hope it will be able to share with people who truly appreciate Alizée’s infinite beauty rather than just fixate on her good looks and her graceful moves, although admittedly, this is a very important part of it for me. Thanks for the winking pictures. Interesting discussion so far because I am also thinking she might have refused to wink in the 2003 Fan De interview for the reason already mentioned by Jalen. Although, it seems to me that at the time she was still using her seductive side to appeal to her fans (albeit, to a less extend than during the Gourmandises years). I find the 2003-2004 period quite interesting because of that switch in her attitude and all these changes that came to her life. It seems like it would have been so easy for her to milk what the trio (AJ-MF-LB) had built on. She could probably have continued for years and years and just become a one dimension hit machine that shows a little more skin or acts a little sluttier every time the interest of the public goes down.
