Angry DVD Player won't play Alizée en concert!

The DVD player on my computer for some reason has refused to play my Alizée en Concert DVD. The computer doesn't even know there is a disk in the drive. I have no idea why; it worked fine before. Most other disks will play fine (though some won't). Does anyone have any idea of how to get it to work again?

EDIT: won't play any dvds now, still no idea why, drive hasn't worked properly since December though it's never been this bad.

get AOA DVD Copier (free to try)

copy the entire DVD to your hard drive

then open those files, see if it works.

This...probably yours is too old...happened to one of mine a while ago...some discs ran fine...others he wouldn't recognize.

If your DVD drive is an old style player and not a burner, the drive will probably not be able play the disc. All the DVD-RW drives I own play it.

It's probably reached the end of its lifespan. Luckily new ones are in the $30 range these days.

Man, that's really bad. Anyway, talking about Alizée en concert, do you guys have any idea where I can download it? I have one but the quality is not good. I'd rather have a better one

The only place I know of getting a high quality en concert DVD is amazon.fr, though shipping is expensive. There's a guide on this site for ordering it.

As for my DVD-RW drive, the issue may be the fact that I played Star Trek: Nemesis on it just an hour before, and sometimes it will just refuse to play more discs after playing one, in which case it should work better today. I'm not going to try it though, lest I get mad at the computer again and not get my homework done.

Without En Concert! I have it burned to my hard drive, loaded on my iPod, and a backup DVD burned so this never happens to me.

But yeah, it sounds like your drive either has dirty heads or is just warn out.

Or just decided to stop working for 12 hours. It works now. Strange. In any case, I will have to try AOA dvd copier (I think I'm getting a new iPod tomorrow, and I will definitely want it there).
