I think in the same way that Mylene and LB already had the material and theme for the Alizee project and Alizee fit the bill, Sony probably had most of the same particulars worked out and Alizee the singer fit the bill. I am assuming that is what moved this project along so fast. She is just along for the ride once again and is probably a good thing for her career to have a come back in France.
