The problem here is that we've only seen and heard parts of what's to come. There will be eight more songs, and I'm sure more photos as well (we've seen four, counting the face on the Les collines single). It's like fitting together a jigsaw puzzle when you only have a few of the pieces.

I don't think that Alizée ought to explain what the symbolism is. I think she should let the photos and the music speak for themselves. All I'm sure of at this point is that at least two layers of story will be told, one about Edie Sedgwick and the other about Alizée herself. These photos relate, but at this point I wouldn't feel comfortable speculating as to how. Later, when we've seen the whole package -- yes.

The second picture, with the makeup and lighting the way it is, reminds me of the scene in Bladerunner with the android girl being interviewed by Harrison Ford with the scanner in front of him...

That pic is just way cool.


Also, some of the "glamor" type pictures remind me of the late '60's photography, as well as Warhol's style...

That hat is kind of weird and yet cool. I half expected a door to open and Gort to come walking out.

The second picture still kind of creeps me out.

The more and more I look at them, I lose the strength to force myself to like them. I know all of us feel that way haha

No, you don't, because I do like them. All three of them. They're strange, though, and very different from anything she's done before.

This may be a key: stop thinking of them as Alizée being herself. Think of them as Alizée playing a role, as in a theater. Exactly what role I'm not quite sure, but there are roles being played here.

Try that, and see if it helps.

Yah that actually helped. I see those pictures as part of a weird story that we are soon going to learn about the album. So I'll just look at these as going with the music and sort of not her haha. And as I said before, Not like the upskirts I'm used to haha. woops
