I think that is the best way to phrase it. Some articles say yes, pointing to this photo:

other articles say that Gregoire is with one of the other contestants from the show...who knows.
The main point is, he is a positive thing in her life. She enjoys being around him, and spending time with him, and having him spend time with her daughter. So whatever he is, friend or boyfriend, I like him, and Im glad he is around.
