My dear, she's really answering my prayers. The dark melancholic 80ies sound and her beautiful deep velvet voice. Just listen to that intro with the 80ies drumming, awesome. The chorus, tends to get slightly repetitive, but I never ever want it to stop

The chorus is in English, and as others have said kind of repetitive. But catchy and with a sexy bit some will like. The verses, a mix of French and English, are the best part. There's a real magic there, and I got chills when she mentioned New York. Very good song overall.

Within the last week I ran across the Web page at:

Perhaps you know them, but many were new to me. Among them are these:

I guess that last sentence means that among her lucky charms is/was a MetroCard! I was the last of my family to leave NYC, now long ago, but when I departed one could still only use tokens - gone as of 2003 I now read.

I doubt very much I will ever see Alizée, but I'm charmed that we have a nostalgia for the subway in common: I still have some old tokens as keepsakes!

Just got home from working with my dad and on the way back i was wondering whether the song was out or not and BAM the email appeared.

I instantly put on the headphones, put it up to 100% pressed download, then play and...

Disappointed with the 2 new songs so far. I'll buy the album but i'm glad i didn't pre-order it. For me this new material is too synthetic....too robotic. The opposite of the lush sound present in the earlier material that started to vanish with Psychedelices. This new material brings to mind Melissa Mars and Ladytron, which is fine and well, but not what i really want to hear when i think Alizee. Just my 2 cents currently, it could very well grow on me.

Well I hope it grows on you puffy. I like it, its original and fresh and very mesmerizing. I think its important that Alizee does not become repetitive with her old sound. Suffice it to say change can be good at times.

yah i just hate how everyone still expects "Mes Courants Electriques 2". It's like come on in order to sell she needs to change. And she changed for the better cuz Les Collines is AMAZING!!!!

I think that they are not the best alizee songs but i think they are better than some phych songs, and I like Les colloines better than limelight.

edit: I im just happy to be hearing Alizee again.
