mylene shmylene. Is there a Mylene fan site? I thought you had obtained the alizee cd. Ive only heard of mylene cuz of Alizee.

Very nice. I haven't run through all the songs, but I did check out my favorites from YouTube (Les Mots and Désenchantée). Those two songs alone make the set worth it for me. Something new for me was Laurent's piano composition on the front end of Désenchantée. We don't get much of that type of intro in our pop music in the States. In fact, I find the freshness of his compositions truely wonderful. A lot of American pop has become stale for me. This is Fresh. Unique. And Mylene's voice is great too...you can just listen to the beauty of the song (just like with Alizée), or examine the lyrics at face value, or look into the depths ("when all becomes all alone" from Les Mots is simple, sad, deep, and moving...all at the same time). All around, a very refreshing collection that will keep me listening (and learning) for years to come.

Yep, two CDs. $16.00 through Best Buy (Amazon has it for $25). Yes, it's "IN STOCK" in the U.S. Pretty cool.

For those who don't know, this collection is the ALL TIME number ONE best seller for a "best of" compilation in France.
