As always I'm late for the party here, but I discovered song yesterday and listened to it many, many times.
I like it, especially the French-English mix. Maybe chorus is repetitive, but it has some dark climat inside.

I think that instead of "blesser...blesser ...blesser." there is like in Sébastien Coum's version provided by Alex "Paisibles, Plaisirs, Bléssés" It's only slight difference, hard to catch, if you aren't native French or a very good French speaker, but I'd prefer it, cause it makes more sense for me.

Second thing is in French lyrics:
The verbs panser and penser are the homophones, so it's hard to tell which of them is in lyrics.
Penser means generally 'to think', while panser means to bandage, to dress(a wound) or to groom.
For me panser makes more sense, it naturally connects with 'Bléssés' - hurt.
The second thing is that meaning 'to groom' matches those timid cats in next verse.

De(s) grands félins timides Paisibles, Plaisirs, Bléssés -
[...] I would groom/bandage -- any better verb that would contain both meanings
of big timid cats, calm... pleasant... hurt

Oh, my God, I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!

The chorus is repetitive but I like that part best. It throbs, it moves, it pounds in the blood, and Oh, that voice! I love to hear that voice whispering those words in my ear!

One thing about French speakers writing lyrics in English. French has no accented syllables, so French lyrics can flow with the rhythm of the music any which way and it doesn't matter. English is different, and therefore a little harder. So in the line "New York I'm sorry," the music's accent falls on the wrong syllable in "sorry" so that it comes out "sorrEE" rather than "SORry" the way it would be spoken and it sounds a little jarring.

However -- this song is awesome. Oh, man, now I'm really psyched to get this album. I can't wait for March.

That's the second time I've heard someone say that this week. Strange. Anyway, I'm guessing that by accented syllables you mean stressed syllables. French does have stressed syllables, it's just more normalized. It's almost always the last syllable: icI, aujourd'HUI, bonJOUR. This would explain the "sorRY" part.

(Funny side note: Italians who seem to resent Carla Bruni will sometimes write her name "Carlà")

I like this song. It's just too bad the chorus part is so repetipetipetipetipetipetitive, which is too bad because I think this a song that could really catch on. The only thing that would hinder it's chances is the chorus to lyrics ratio.
