What inspires newbies the most ?

We were all newbs once, so personal experiences are very valid.

For example, I was an Alizée newbie then I saw her gorgeous nose and I became a fan. That is evidence that her nose attracts new fans.

It's possible I just think people changed their answer on how they came to like Alizee INITIALLY...not how they liked her over time....

But either way oh well, I feel like I'm turning into a critic

I thought so too at first but reading other replies made me answer the way I did. That's why I wrote the first sentence in my post, maybe you missed it or maybe it wasn't clear enough (Zeerre can tell you about the latter, don't worry). What I meant was that I think the "average-every-day newbie" is attracted by her looks first. I also think very few of the "average-every-day newbies" becomes fans so I'm not surprised that most people here say it's something else than her looks that made them interested INITIALLY.

Exactly. As each element introduced itself it reinforced the image more fully. However, if there was one element that initially caught my eye and caused me to take a second (and third) look, it was her hands. The way she moved them in JEAM was SO relaxed - almost as though they had a mind of their own. That was the initial "there's something special about this girl" thought. Then, the rest of the elements layered in and I started to realize how special she was.
