Edit 2: Hmmm and after reading the rest of the thread, (At first I thought 16 pages was far too much...) I realised that there were some pretty funny stories in there! That Jamm story was pretty funny, Bird :P

When it comes to nicknames, throughout my entire highschool life, I was only referred to Andrew by the teachers (and even some of them called me my nick). They call me "yehson" (my surname), which they pronounce wrong anyways as "yeeson". During year 9 camp, a few friends and I were canoeing and accidentally capsized it. I needed to borrow some shampoo (I swear I had to borrow it, it wasn't mine. I'm serious!) later that night and the brand of shampoo was called "Johnson's Kids". And it all starts there. "Hey, here's some Johnson's, yehson." "Lol@babies' shampoo" "More like yonson's kids!"... We were 14 year old kids... we were lame. They began to call me "Yonson" and eventually it became "Yon" or "Yonz".

Now that... is an embarassing place for the birth of a nickname... A brand of kids' shampoo lol.
