If not mistaken, it is rather interesting then that with the acting title of T. A. T. O. per se, construed as an acronym in a Latin style of lettering (wording?), standing for something I know not what, that in the Ukrainian language, the word 'tato' is defined as 'father.' Maybe in the Russian as well, I'am not too certain.

You are 100% correct, "tato" does indeed mean "father" in Ukrainian.

However, that is not the concept that is behind their band name. Their band name consists of two Russian words put together: TA and TU. Using these words in the same sentence in a contextual translation means "she does her", or "one girl does another girl". As you can see, this goes very well with the lesbian image that they used for their debut album.

I remember TaTu hit the American pop music scene a few years back, but I never heard more than one song of theirs. It wasn't too bad, actually.
