Well you've hit the ol' 1 grander but does it really matter?
It's just a number, and you've proven your veteran status through quality not quantity. i do not understand why there is such a fuss on reaching 1,000 posts. you cannot loose them so you can only go up. i am sorry if i am coming off as a b*tch but i did not get to bed until after 2am and some creep dared to call me and woke me up.

Karla, in a way I think you're right. It's just an arbitrary milestone of how long a person has been an active member. Some post more than others, and maybe some people have more thoughtful posts than others, but many disappear well before they reach 1000 posts. So it is by no means a reliable true measure of something important, but some kind of milestone is worth noting, I believe. Anyways, it give us an excuse to celebrate something.
And it gives us an opportunity to tell a fellow member that their presence here is appreciated.Karla, I hope you stick around long enough to reach 1000. Like it or not, we're going to celebrate !

I kind of feel the same way Karlalizee, but as lefty said, it gives us a reason to celebrate something (just like holidays) !

Yeah, that is the reason, I like the celebration threads.
