If this does happen to be true and even if it does occur, I don't think the human race will reach extinction over it. I guess all we can do for now is just not worry about it and hope for the best.

Nah. I don't think so. It does seem like a huge catastrophe to us, which it is, but in a world wide global and ecological scale, it's not apocalyptic.

if it's true or not... it's just a matter of time when the human race finally kill the blue planet... BP is just one piece in the puzzle...

While we all can admit the disaster in the Gulf and BP's responsibility... I hardly see it becoming a cataclysmic event of "biblical proportions" like it says in the article. You're reading simply mass hysteria in its purest form.

I believe we can Heal The World
I think if we can just concentrate on correcting the course of the future for our children we can overcome past mistakes. It's do-able, it really is. If we can make a huge mess in our big blue home we can clean it up too. Sorta like cleaning your room, though a bit more complicated and on a massive scale. It just takes effort from everybody. |

Man's constant & greatest struggle is to overcome nature. However, nature has many years (maaaaaany) of experience over man. Nature always overcomes, no matter the circumstances which face it.

Didn't they say we were all going to die as soon as the clock struck 2000?
And before that, wasn't the Cold War going to escalate into the entire planet being leveled by nuclear warheads? And before that, weren't the templars going to find the pieces of Eden and bring a fate worse than death upon the earth, eternal enslavement?
