Default Early lolita stuff...

going down memory lane, I dug up some early lolita stuff...

This video was one of the first and few live performances of lolita september 2000...

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iP0CzDgUEfs&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x402061&color2=0x94 61ca"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iP0CzDgUEfs&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x402061&color2=0x94 61ca" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Another early performance.. also september 2000 I really like the rawness of her earl performance, her interaction with the audience... a lot of genuine emotions from her. You even get some trademarked Alizee hand waves!

whoa, never saw her sing Moi... Lolita live before En Concert! I think it was great, i wonder why she stopped singing live though, if Mylene/Laurent had something to do with it. I like both, one isn't really better than the other, it depends on the rest of the performance too, imo.

I think they'd prefer the sound to be perfect and consistent with every little appearance. Also, she does dance around the stage a lot... have you ever tried doing some jumping jacks and run for a minute and then sing amazing grace? It's a lot easier to just lip sync.

I like this performance because she is truly singing live, and we have it right on this site.

You and me both wildfire I kinda miss those days when I first Discovered Alizee. Watching that last vid you posted brings back those old positive emotions I had when I first heard Moi lolita lol good times. For the past week I have been reminiscing a lot about that song and how it made be become a big fan of Alizee.

Here are some old videos that I found of her Lolita years!

WOW! what a difference to the En Concert version.. though of course, there is that age difference of when she's singing this.

BUT! to me, her singing sounds more.. erm, throaty?? i dunno how to say it exactly, but different than it was for En Concert. and she also uses more of what i call "voice vibrato" i say this cuz when i played the violin, vibrato was when ya sort slide your finger up and down a bit to change the sound. and she did it while singing, hence "voice vibrato"!!

glad im a necromancer. now i've found yet another audio clip to download and keep.

Thanks for necromancing wasabi

I saw most of those videos, but nice find with that first one, never saw it before.
And I agree with you wasabi, but it's natural that voice is changing during growing up, I mean between the age of 15 and 19 or more. And her unique style of singing is also changing If she wants, she is singing in a bit different way.

Yeah I kinda like her voice from those Nasalée days... something about the raw performance... luv it.. you get the emotion from the artist... vs.. AUTOTUNE
