I asked him that once but he never answered. I have no idea.

I thought one of the rules of this site was not to state the obvious. I have watched numerous old movies which were set in the sixties and I don't recall fur coats and raccoon makeup being part of the fashions of that era. Your crystal ball or time machine must be giving you a different
perspective.
Deep already covered the makeup. I'll comment on the coat.

Look again. They were popular in New York among some crowds sometime in the time frame of the late 60's to early 70's. I did not like the look, so I can't be more specific.

Again, Alizée is right on.

By the way, I think Alizée is more of a natural beauty than Edie.

Remember, it's an ACT! She is playing a character.

Also, it is a lot more complicated than just that.

She is a French woman, trying to play an American from the 60's-70's, to a crowd of French peers. She needs to capture both the essence of Edie, as well as set a trend for her peers (which means adjusting as needed to stay within the French "flow").

Nope. No slang. Yipee is what I get a well.

I'd like to know if I can find a version of Moi...Lolita with the voice totally removed (but not the piano version or something like that).

I also would like to download the performances of "Moi...Lolita" where she's actually singing (not lip syncing) live. I know of 2 performances so far (from En Concert DVD and Top of the pops in Italy, with the second being my favorite so far).

I take it that you're looking for just the instrumentals? If you are, I'd suggest taking a look at finding the Moi...lolita single.

Though the only single I have is L'alize, the CD had just L'alize and the instrumental for it.

Hope this helps!

I think you are right about the Moi... Lolita single having the instrumental. But there were many versions, so make sure you research it! As for videos, check www.alizee-forum.com, they have a huge list of download links! What was the date of the Moi... Lolita performance you want?

The short answer is "Yes!" And thanks for the suggestion regarding the single!

@VVVACCPLPNLY: Thanks, I am downloading from http://vdb.alizee.cz/ but there are 31 live versions of Moi...Lolita, and I wanted to first download the ones where she's not doing playback. I will download them all eventually but it will take a few days to finish them all.

Yeah, sorry, I don't have access to my videos, so I can't tell you which performances were true live! although, if I remember correctly, 10-25 is true live, but not sure! But it was first ML live I got, it was from my birthday!

I wonder...

Is she lip-syncing during the actual performance as well?

Or is she singing fo' reals' live, and the song is dubbed in before the performance airs?

Lip-synicing is done for most of the performances. Artist do so and Alizée is no exception. Many of her performances are lip-synced. There are some in which it was not done, for ex, En Concert- it was Alizée's voice live, La Isla Bonita and some other covers by her and few more performances of her own songs.
