Default New-Old Alizée Mashup

I made a video for an audio I found recently. It is a mashup of the Pet Shop Boys song "Home and dry" and Alizée's song JEAM.

When I first listened to this it made my month. I love the song "Home and dry", and I never thought it would blend so well with an Alizée song.
Which is silly, since this song is already mashed up with Coldplay's "Viva la vida", and "Viva la vida is mashed up with JEAM...
On top of that, both songs use the same four chords...but I never made the connection until I listened to the audio for the first time.

I just discovered it now in 2012, but it appears that the original mashup audio was up there since... November 2005! And then, in 2008 somebody else made a video for that audio. However I had to do a new video for two reasons.
First, because I could not find it on youtube or any of the usual video sites, which was quite a shock since the mashup is nearly seven years old and Pet Shop Boys are one of those bands everybody knows about around the world.

The second reason, is that the fanmade video for that audio was a mix of the original Pet shop boys videoclip and a video of Alizée performing. The original videoclip for the "Home and dry" song features rats filmed in the London underground, as a series of metaphors about living in the city. It was not done in a negative way, but I felt that some people could feel confused or offended about watching rats and Alizée in the same video, without knowing the origin of the clip.

Here is the new "Home and Marre" video:

Sadly it is blocked in some countries...
The audio was made by Huerzo. There are a lot of mashups done by this user nickname on the internet. I could not get in touch with him, but I want to say Thank you for doing this, I really enjoy his mashup.

Maybe this mashup is not news to someone, but I felt I had to made at least a thread to give credit to the person who made it and express how thankful I am, even if he never reads this.

Usually I just skip over fanmade stuff, but this was AMAZING! It was very fluently mashed up and had awesome video to go with! Well done! It goes much better together than Viva la Vida and Alizée.

Not only the songs blend well... there is a funny coincidence in the video. I did use three different videoclips:

1. "Alizée tubes d'un jour": Obviously filmed in France. French reference.
link to video

2. "Time Lapse - Landscapes Vol. 2" Video description: "Utah and Arizona landscapes" (North America reference)
link to video

These french and American references blend well with some of the lyrics of the song, as if a member of this forum would sing to Alizée:

"There's a plane at JFK
to fly you back from far away
all those dark and frantic
transatlantic miles..."

But wait. The third video used is:

3. "Pet Shop Boys - Home And Dry [Live - Cubism In Concert]"
link to video

And as the video description says, it is filmed in... Mexico's Auditorio nacional, the same place where Alizée would perform two years later...
I could not help to laugh at that coincidence
