OKAY I've nearly worked out what's wrong with UEDS as far as I'm concerned. I want to totally adore it because it has everything I love - a beautiful voice, beautiful melodies and meaningful lyrics but there's just something that isn't there. Something she had in the first two albums and in most of Psychédélices, but is nearly completely absent in UEDS. I just can't work out what it is.

I feel exactly the same about Mylène's latest single Oui Mais... Non - technically it's brilliant and I should love it as much as I love her other stuff... but I just don't.

STILL can't work out what it is.

The only thing I do know is that it is present in Eden, Eden and Mes Fantômes but not in any of the other songs on UEDS.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

I do agree that Eden, Eden and Mes Fantômes stand out from the other songs on UEdS.

-Same as Zeerre, I don't like Les Collines much either, but I find that some of the remixes are enjoyable. I love Alizée's voice in this song, but the original arrangement just isn't that good, and the chorus is a bit annoying.

I've always thought that too! Ever since I first listened to the album.... but I can't work out what sets them apart from the other songs?

Damn you guys, now I'm going to have to listen to UEdS again tonight, since, being a newb, and only getting the album yesterday, I've only listened to it once. Today, I listened to Gourmandises all the way through twice on my way to and from work. I'm more of a Rock N Roll guy, so the slower, epic songs were not my thing today. Abaracadabra with the cheezy cats was a bit suspect also. The rest, I liked. I've heard some people diss J.B.G. but I really like that song. Has a nice hook and guitar... maybe it's just cause I'm a Bond fan.

Anyway, UEdS is VERY different. It seems to be quite a bit more mature (as it should be, a whole DECADE different) and it may take a bit more time to sink in.

2)Yes, for everyone it took a while to get used to UEDS and the disguised amazingness of it.
