So anyone else notice that when a multilingual person switches to English, their voice gets deeper?

I've noticed this with Audrey Tautou, our very own Alizée, and myself. My voice is noticeable higher when I speak Korean when compared to how I sound when I speak English.

Seriously, does this sound like Amelie?

You need to define the terms "nerd" and "geek".

Anyone can be a "geek". It just means you are passionate about something to a point where most people would consider you a bit obsessed. For instance, most of us on this board are certified Alizee-geeks. There are also car-geeks, sports-geeks, etc.

"Nerd" is a far more nebulous term. It can often refer to a social reject. However, it has also been used to refer to individuals who are "geeks" about certain arcane things.

When I use the term "Geek cred", I mean she is into some things that you generally wouldn't associate with a woman most famous for singing about being a Lolita and dancing in skin tight sailor suit.
Such as:
-Being the computer repair person for her family and friends.
-Having all the classic game consoles (old-school gaming gets big geek cred)
-Knowing that the guy who did all Darth Vader's lightsaber fights just died.

I enjoy the fact Alizee is somewhat geeky. Nerd (as in social reject) is not a term I'd use, though. I don't see her getting rejected a lot.

Oh I totally understand that. I didn't mean anything in a negative way.

I'm just confused as to what exactly Alizée is getting "geek cred" for. Is this all based on something she said, or did, or tweeted?

(For the record, we're a cult. We're Alizée cultists. Lilly Towners. http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/show...highlight=cult)

Yea. My voice is higher than I'd like as it is, and when I speak Spanish or French I feel that both cultures developed their languages just to piss me off.

Edit:

>Start going to girl's basketball games with Zach n' Dan
>We're loud as FUCK. The parents and other students are really lame but we're loud to the point we've almost gotten kicked out because we made the team. Laugh to much.
>Coach personally asks us to keep coming to show support and whatnot.
>Dan cracks joke about us going to their banquet.
>Gets turned into we should be the team managers because the old ones quit or whatever.
>Bla bla,
>We are now managers of the girls basketball team.

>MFW coach says we have to be there monday-saturday, 6-8, games are 8 hour ordeals, and apparently this Saturday there's something going on where we have to be there at nine, drive three hours, do something, and then finally get back around midnight...

>MFW coach says we get a whole bunch of free clothes labeled with "the three crazies" along with our names and such (which is what apparently the team named us before they knew who the hell we were)

sounds like her to me, just keep in mind Amelie came out quite a few years ago, her voice changed a bit.
