Lol I am 20, I turn "21" in October, both Emma and I were born in 1990 ... that makes us the same age separated by a few months does it not?

Your face is a mistake.
Getting back to the thread, does anybody want to explain to me why in the films (and possibly the books) they enter the school in a different way each year? The first year they came in on row boats, and then another year they were on hay wagons or something... wtf is that all about

I think they explain it but I can't remember. In Order of the Phoenix they rode up in carriages pulled by invisible death-horse thingies.
I'm pretty sure first year students always take the boats. They enter a different way than everyone else and have a small introduction/orientation before they go into the great hall.

I don't see the point in making the different classes take alternate routes to the school? Alternate times of arrival maybe, but it seems like such a waste of time and energy organizing the different modes of transportation.
I'd have just put in a moving walkway and been done with it, they had those in the 90's right?

Yes, it's common knowledge: wizards in the 90's had moving walkways.
Look, they're not supposed to come in a different way every year - they're just supposed to ride in on th' cute little train. But after the first year, it never works out that way for Harry. Okay? It's symbolic. (No, i mean it's a metaphor. No- a red herring. No, a dangling participle....) |
