I was, of course, kidding with a lot of those things, but bear in mind that nothing stays the same. Things get better, things get worse, but nothing endures forever. We are all surfing on chaos. Neither Alizée's musical career nor her marriage is guaranteed to last another five years. Maybe they will, maybe not. But there is so much magic about her that whatever she is doing by then, she will be happy and making a difference in the lives around her. The waves move, there's no freezing them in place. It's staying on your board that matters.

Alizée will reach beyond her cult following outside of France and Europe. But she will always be one of those artists who 'should be more popular.' Many people will continue to discover her regardless of how much music she produces. There will be another extended hiatus in the next 10 years.

She will eventually mentor another young artist, cameo in movies but not 'go into' acting, and become involved in politics in a substantive and non 'celebrity-does-activism way'.

My wild guess is that in five years Alizée will haved produced one more album and one more baby. She will still be happily married to Jérémy and she will no longer be in the public eye.

In five years, Alizée will have had her second child, be divorced from Jeremy for more than a year, unmarried but rumored to be involved with at least three medium to high profile men, two of whom will be up-and-coming in the European fashion industry.

She will have released a fourth album in an attempt to recover from a disastrous third recording effort, which sold less than a quarter the number of copies as her previous unsuccessful release.

By the end of her second pregnancy, the "baby weight" will not go away and her image in the public eye will have deteriorated to the point where any mention of her in the public zeitgeist will elicit only a predictable "Aliz...who?" response.

She will then retire from public life and head back home to Corsica permanently.
