Cool Welcome...

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fBxykYPmUwg&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd 311b"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fBxykYPmUwg&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd 311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dimmer
I had to stop for the night.

There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself
'This could be heaven or this could be Hell'
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face.
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of year (any time of year) you can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes bends
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget

So I called up the Captain,
'Please bring me my wine'
He said, 'we haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty-nine'
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face.
They livin' it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise), bring your alibis

Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said, 'we are all just prisoners here, of our own device'
And in the master's chambers,
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before
'Relax' said the night man,
'We are programmed to receive.
You can check out any time you like,
But you can never leave!

And if the darkness is to keep us apart
And if the daylight feels like it's a long way off
And if your glass heart should crack
And for a second you turn back
Oh no, be strong

Oh, Oh
Walk on
Walk on
What you got, they can't steal it
No, they can't even feel it
Walk on
Walk on
Stay safe tonight

You're packing a suitcase for a place none of us has been
A place that has to be believed to be seen
You could have flown away a singing bird in an open cage
Who will only fly, only fly, for freedom

Oh Oh
Walk on
Walk on
What you got, they can't deny it
Can't sell it, or buy it
Walk on
Walk on
You stay safe tonight

And I know it aches
Your heart, it breaks
You can only take so much

Walk on
Walk on
Leave it behind
You've got to leave it behind

All that you fashion
All that you make
All that you build
And all that you break
All that you measure
All that you deal
All that you can't leave behind

One big influence on Mikael Akerfeldt when Opeth recorded "Watershed" was Scott Walker. Here is "Jesse" from his album "The Drift".

Cool Tell me you like it...

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Tajzo9tXDkg&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfe bd01"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Tajzo9tXDkg&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfe bd01" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Tell me you like it
Tell me you like it

You say you've found yourself a new sound
The shit's loaded and ready to go
A bit too much just like the old sound
Already heard it for the hundredth time
One hundred more, another same sound
Running around with all the sheep that you know
"It sounds sublime, they're breaking new ground"
"They should have another hit this time"

Come on
Can't you just leave it alone?
It doesn't have any soul
Just find a thing of your own
And stop pretending to know

[Chorus:]
As the countless numbers hunger for world wide renown
All the pimping sons of plunder will roll up their sleeves
All searching for the answers they don't even care to know
Give it to me
Give it to me
You like that?

I'm still surrounded by the "new sound"
I've had enough and I'm ready to go
A stranglehold throughout the world now
The new obsession will fade in time
I fear reminder of the past now
All convoluted hardly ready to go
Their whines and moans will never last now
I think you've given us a few this time

Come on
Can't you just leave it alone?
It doesn't have any soul
Just find a thing of your own
And stop pretending to know

[Chorus]

[Bridge:]
As it's blown apart, hundreds thrown away
Makes me question just what I believe
Brothers thrown apart, mindless drones enslaved
Makes me search for an answer
I don't want to know
It's like a plague from below
Killing all that I know
One hundred voices the same
Drench their sorrow with fame

As the countless numbers hunger for world wide renown
All the pimping sons of plunder will roll up their sleeves
All searching for the answers they don't even care to know
Give it to me
Give it to me
As the countless numbers hunger for world wide renown
All the pimping sons of plunder will roll up their sleeves
All searching for the answers they don't even care to know
Give it to me
Give it to me
You like that?
Tell me you like it
Tell me you like it
Tell me you like it
Tell me you like it

^ And I thought you were just a classic rock man.

I despise rap, i'm sure everyone knows that, but I love satire.

So anything that literally satires rap in an odd manner, j'aimerai, so I present to you, The Rich Sheik's Music Video!

Fine with me, but I think my respect for your ear might be diminished if you in fact adore...one particular genre.
