You could put about 2g on a typical format cd-r. I had all her music videos, as well as the ACC DLL performance, on one dísc. But that is if you set the cd to be used similar to a flash drive. I hope you know how to do that.

I hate to argue, but I'm pretty sure one can not get anywhere near 2 gigabytes of data on a CD, hence the need for DVD. But, maybe you compressed the stuff a lot. Anyway, it matters little. The point still stands that one can create great demos either way. It's just a matter of how much and of what quality one thinks is the strategic play. I would makes DVDs and share out everything I have with fans who are already in that limerence stage, but until I go through it and collect only the best quality of everything, I'm looking at 165GiB of stuff and that's obviously way past even a couple DVDs. How much do BlueRays hold?
Unfortunately, while someone has been trying to download my whole library on DC++ lately, it seems like my ISP may be throttling me down and it's affecting my browsing if I let it run too much. Sorry whoever that is. Need a T3!

Smile Using public lending libraries

Recordings held by lending libraries are another way of promoting Alizée.

Did you know that something resembling a union catalog of many of the important libraries of the world exists? Its name is WorldCat. Find its free
online search interface at: http://www.worldcat.org/

WorldCat is a union catalog which itemizes the collections of 71,000 libraries in 112 countries which participate in the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) global cooperative... Created in 1971, it contains more than 150 million different records pointing to over 1.4 billion physical and digital assets in more than 470 languages. It is the world's largest bibliographic database. - Wikipedia

The aspect of interest to us now is that you can search for audio CDs and video DVDs, as well as codices and other materials. An interesting question is how many copies of Alizée's four studio audio albums and the "Alizée En Concert" DVD are held by participating libraries.

A current audit is now available online.
1. Gourmandises (2000)
2. Mes Courants Électriques (2003)
3. Alizée En Concert (2004)
4. Psychédélices (2007)
5. Une Enfant Du Siècle (2010)

As expected, "Gourmandises" is the most widely held title, with 13 to 14 librares reporting they own a copy. Only three libraries hold "Alizée En
Concert." And with the very recent release of "Une Enfant Du Siècle," it is hardly surprising that no library reports owning a copy yet.

WorldCat may be the best of its kind that exists, but it is certainly not a union catalog for ALL the libraries of the world, not even all those of the United States. In particular, the two Alizée titles held by the French Cultural Center of Boston are not discovered using WorldCat.

In closing, let me remark that Alizée still enjoys some French music industry records to this very day. According to Wikipedia, Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique (SNEP) makes the following assertions.

"Moi... Lolita" holds the record for the most weeks in the top 10, some 31 weeks, well over half a year. But it shares this honor with one other title, one of whose artists is Alizée's fellow Corsican Patrick Fiori, with whom she earlier this month co-hosted Fête de Saint-Érasme in Ajaccio.

But "Moi... Lolita" enjoys a unique honor as well. It is the song which spent the most time in the number two spot, 13 weeks, an entire quarter of a year.

Alizée's release this year peaked at position number 24 in France.

Default New group targeted

Today I was at a show for Harleys and Mustangs. I set up a display with a slide show of Alizée and a self serve "take one free" cd display. Out of about 250 people 7 cd's were taken. This is better than my last time out.
All we can do is try.
