rules or not... rules exists only to be broken However maybe politic and religion are not the best themes for forum most about Alizée, but it was more life here and you could see and maybe try to understand others view on such themes. Our opinions can hurt people who dont agree, but it can hurt the other side too, cause they cant say their view.

As scary as it sounds you a very mature and smart young lady... probably maturer than my 21 year old self
We dont always see eye to eye Azhiri but overall I think you are a good mod who is very good with their words which is why you connect easily with other members.

I agree with HelixSix in a couple of things... But there is no point discussing them much further.
But I agree it looks really strange to lock a thread like that. If someone breaks the rules, there are 24 hours ban availables. You can even give a last warning and if people keep breaking rules, then that person deserves the ban. The thread remains open for everybody's opinions and people knows what will happen if they misbehave.
So just putting a lock in the thread... it is a little bit childish... specially coming from the same person that did open it. It is like taking a table game for us to play and then suddenly taking the game away from us, instead of punishing the people misbehaving
But we are not use to temporary bans in this forum so I understand the "locks politic"

I know that in a way I´m telling people how to do their task, but I only wanted to express my view on the lack of bans. Don't take me serious, in fact, I would like to be banned now so people see it is not that traumatic.

The absolute worst thing you can do is close down threads after you fail to do your job. If you were effective there wouldn't be threads getting locked in the first place. You are no different than school teachers who can't or don't care about keeping their class under control and only wait until a few people have taken things too far then take away the rights of the entire class.

You let people talk just enough to express their views then close the threads with NOTHING being resolved and that's why it carries naturally from thread to thread. If there was one or two threads about core subjects that we could actually calm down and discuss without the need or rush to get in our 10 cents before it's closed then things would go a lot better.

Being suppressed brings out the worst in people. Have any of the mods thought to consider that? If you can't keep an important thread like the theater shooting one open you might want to consider you are the top problem instead of us. Most of us can express ourselves very clearly without vulgarity if actually given the chance in an area for the subject matter.

The thread was doing just fine until Euphoria brought up religion into a thread that had absolutely zilch-fucking-zero-nothing to do with anything remotely related to religion. (in case you missed it)

The issue was when the rest of the members in this forum decided "Hey, if she broke the rule, and started something which we've seen turn to shit in the past, that must mean I can do it too."

When the thread turns from objectively discussing the events that have occured, and with some subjective opinions on those events being shared, into a thread that's titled "Shooting at the Batman premiere" and has people completely disregarding that topic and posting only to something as sensitive as religion (which again, had nothing to do with the story. I'd like you to show me one example of a professional news station bringing religion into the equation.)

Also, who made you the judge of what a moderator's job is and whether or not one is exercising their abilities? (Notice I didn't say "do their job". Moderating a tiny-ass forum focused on an obscure topic is not a job. They aren't paid for this, they didn't volunteer for this, they were asked by those who helped create the rules of this forum to help uphold them. Notice that they are the moderators, and not you. That means they know better than you. You should thank your lucky stars. Without them, this forum would be nothing but advertisements for Russian pornography, cheap Canadian viagra, and eleven year old tv sets.)

Maybe there are some people who wouldn't mind being mods or would do a better job. I don't know anybody that's been asked. I never volunteered since I'm universally disliked. But it would make sense considering I've been here longer than most and posted enough to get a feel for people, and most of all I don't take favorites.

I disagree with most everything Azhiri said and my previous posts explain my points. She could have easily nipped things at the start but chose to not intervene, then blamed everybody for how the thread turned out while elevating herself. I don't want to be a part of a forum with a leader like that so I'm out.

One more thing. Here's who I'd recommend to be mods: Euphoria and FRA. That's right I think Ace should be a mod even though we've never got along from the start.

And for people telling me to leave, the reason I didn't go to other forums to talk about religion/politics is because I haven't known some of them for 5 years. But you got your wish regardless.

Merci Alizée
Azhiri
Lefty
Brian

There's four off the top of my head.

Because you like the negative attention. That's why you made this thread, isn't it?

So you're saying you've already judged everybody and plan on being harsh/"not taking favorites"?

She doesn't live on this forum. She has a life in which she interacts with people, does activities, sleeps, worries about real-life things instead of squabble on the internet (you might want to try it some time)

No, I did. But attack the young girl instead of even acknowledging me, whatever makes you feel tough online.

Azhiri's not the leader.

If you're going to act like a little WITCH then get the FRIDAY out.

You think nobody likes you, you get upset about a moderator doing exercising their best judgement according to their earliest convenience, you make a thread complaining about it and when I intentionally try to antagonize you in hopes of getting you upset and writing some glaringly-flawed argument you ignore me and focus on the person who did nothing wrong, then why are you still here?. We have nothing to offer you, and you have nothing to offer this community (which is a group of 30+ people who discuss a has-been French pop star, not a civil forum with round-the-clock enforcement. We're sitting in Ben's garage drinking warm beer, not writing legislature.)

Don't let the door hit your REAR on the way out.

Thanks guys but I wouldn't make a good mod; im too opinionated!
Helix I am going to put this lightly to you since you flattered me in your last post.
If you have issues with the mods the best way to handle it is in a pm to them and not to embarrass or make a spectacle out of the whole situation. Let me be clear when I say the mods did nothing wrong and you even advocated for the thread to be locked. However I do see why you are upset and it is understandable; but just know no matter what the mods did in that situation it would have ultimately upset someone. As for you leaving; no that is not something anyone wants to see, we need all of the active members we can get here but just maybe you can make your posts less cynical and negative.

Dude, Helix is a troll. Any attempts to get him to settle things through PM will fail. He doesn't care actually care about "fairness," he's just using it as a crutch. He'll create something out of nothing regardless of the topic. With these kinds of people, it's all about the power trip they get from ruining things for others. And when it fails, they get mad.

Here's a typical day for Helix:

1) Turns on computer, sees people talking about things and enjoying themselves
2) Mad
3) Tries hard as hell to rain on their parade
4) Mods step in
5) Mad

Truth is, it could be any topic and they'll find a way to put in their nasty little negative comments. You made a thread about how bullying disgusts you, and he comes in and says that you need to be more humble, as if anything HE has said or done in the past has been even REMOTELY humble.

Another example: Just look at the way Euphoria completely devours anyone who is honest about their admiration of Alizée. "WAHHH you guys would like anything of hers...WAHHH" GTFO, this is an Alizée Forum.

This is the thread that should be locked. No point at all... And now people publishing other member's facebook... come on, Rictor.
