Default Graines de star

I just found this video on Youtube, I don't know if you guys have ever seen this, but it's from Alizée's performance on Graines de Star, however the only version I had seen before today was just a clip of her singing. This one seems to have a couple of interviews with Alizée, along with an interview with her Dad and her singing acapella at the end.

Do you guys know if there are any translations out there for this video?

the song she sang. translation courtesy of me

My Prayer -by Axelle Red

<TABLE><TR><TD>J 'ai fait le tour du monde

Me sens paralysée
J'ai traversé la terre entière
Ecoute ma prière

J'ai fait le tour de l'Europe
Si tu savais quelle drôle d'impression
On enclave on développe

Me sens paralysée
J'ai traversé la terre entière
Ecoute ma prière
Ecoute ma prière

Si naguère je gardais l'espoir
Désormais je n'ose plus y croire

Moi qui aurais tant voulu
Un monde qui évolue
Je cherche mais je ne trouve pas
Un pays qui me va
Moi qui aurais tant aimé
Me sens paralysée
J'ai traversé la terre entière
Ecoute ma prière

</TD><TD>I’ve toured the whole world
If you knew how I was disappointed
You feel the bad vibes
That flood us with misunderstandings

Human behavior
In reality, it’s so cruel
I fear that we will become
A virtual generation
If I’ve always been hopeful
Today I don’t dare believe it anymore

I who would have wanted so much
A world that evolves
I look but I don’t find
A country that sends me
I who would have loved so much
Makes me feel paralyzed
I’ve traveled the whole world
Hear my prayer

I’ve traveled all of Europe
If you knew what a happy impression
You are boxed in and you develop
It’s time to see it from another point of view

Pictures of Africa
Engraved in my subconsciousness
Without politics
They would be erased long ago

If I’ve always kept hope
Today I don’t dare believe it anymore

I who would have wanted so much
A world that evolves
I look but I don’t find
A country that sends me
I who would have loved so much
Makes me feel paralyzed
I’ve traveled the whole world
Hear my prayer
Hear my prayer

If not long ago I was still hopeful
Sadly I don’t dare believe it anymore

I who would have wanted so much
A world that evolves
I look but I don’t find
A country that sends me
I who would have loved so much
Makes me feel paralyzed
I’ve traveled the whole world
Hear my prayer

Sorry, but how do you play a .Rar file? Does that play in WMV?

The .Rar file contains a subtitle-file, extension ".srt". First you have to extract it with WinRAR. It's plain text so you can read it with any text editor, but of course you want to play it with the video-file.

Dandy posted a link to the video at AF. It's not great quality, but it's the best available.
Alizée - 2000-01-26 - Performance - Graines De Stars - part 2 happy day + vote.avi - 140.5 MB

I suggest you use Media Player Classic for playing the video. First load the video file, then load subtitle-file (Ctrl+L). Now you can play them together.

There are more video players in which you can load video and subtitle files separately, e.g. BS Player.
But if you want to use the subtitles in ANY video player you have to install a utility like DirectVobSub. To use that the video and subtitle files must be in the same folder and the filenames should be the same except for the extension. For example if a video is called 'Alizée.avi' the name of the subtitle-file should be 'Alizée.srt'. Now you can play the subtitles in any videoplayer you like. If you open the video, DirectVobSub will be loaded automatically and display the subtitles.

I ran across this video today of Alizée on Graines De Stars and I couldn't remember if it was ever posted here before, so I thought I'd do so. It's the one where she sings "Oh Happy Day" with three other contestants.

wow they can not sing worth crap. Hopefully it has to do with their French accent. They do sound tone deaf though lololol.
