Olly Murs in concert, in Paris on sept 30. Will Alizée be beside him.
I was searching for some info on Olly in Wikipedia when I stumbled across this line.
. "In September was announced the French new version of Olly's single "Dear Darlin'" with participation of the famous singer Alizée which was released in the second day of the month, with also the support of a concert in Paris to attack the France market" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olly_Murs So I referred back to the article Karin had posted a link to in the Dear Darlin thread. It too mentioned mentioned a show in Paris. So I looked it up and he is indeed scheduled to have a concert in Paris at the end of this month. Will Alizée be beside him when he sings Dear Darlin or will it conflict with her Dancing with the stars schedule. This could really be a great opportunity to make this song popular in France. You would think when Olly arranged to do this duet, he would have picked a singer who would be there for this show. It's just one night.......Monday. Does anyone know what night the dance show airs. I know this type of competition probably requires many hours of practice, but would it take that long for her to make an appearance for that one song? If the show airs on Saturdays I think she could make it that Monday night, it would be a shame if she couldn't make it, like the Alain Chamfort concert a while back. Of course, that time she was feeling sick if I recall correctly.

She's got to make this happen. A couple of hours is all it would take. If the people who attend this concert like this duet and that I feel is a very good possibility, they will probably start requesting the local radio stations to play it. That's Alizée something really needs.
Though this DALS shows she can easily branch out into other areas of the entertainment industry, I think her strength lays in her combined singing and dancing and I think she can only achieve a moderate level of success out side of that. The timing of this all stinks. There are 3 events this month, that would have been great opportunities for her to appear in . The show in New York that is a tribute to Edit Piaf would have gotten her some great exposure in this country and cost her relatively little. Then there is the Olly Murs concert and of course DALS. Why did they all have to happen in the same month?

"Just because it is in my record. This is an artist that I liked and I loved her first single. He sought a French singer to release "Dear Darlin '" and when it was proposed to me, I accepted immediately, without having met. This is a good English pop singer. It reminds me of Robbie Williams, I loved when I was young. Besides, I will be with Olly Murs on stage at Trianon September 30." Thanks Karin.
