Funny things you see in Alizee videos

I ran across this one again today. It's one of the times where you see Alizee get visibly annoyed. She is being pleasant at the beginning, engaging in some small talk with the interviewer. The sound guy just moves in from behind her and starts messing with her back and she starts getting uncomfortable at the 1 minute mark. But he starts creeping around behind her seat after that. I don't know if he smelled bad or just knowing he was back there for way too long, but at 1:33 Alizee stares out with this blank look, like she is thinking bad words. Then it is like she chases him away with that glance at 1:35.

Things are fine after that!

It's not to often when she gets annoyed and you could easily see it here.

But what a beautiful look that simple outfit was! I wish she had looked like that more often when she was working on her albums.

I think that she was just a little nervous in general. I think she understood that the guy was just doing his job. She felt somewhat alone until the woman started talking to her in French. Then, being able to talk to someone helped.

I've seen that video! I love how the camera guy casually zooms up on her thighs hahahahha.
Reminded me of another classic I'm sure most of you have seen.

Even the cameraman is laughing as he records.

I like seeing Alizé being herself, and this video is a good way to remind us that she is person and not just a performer. She does look uncomfortable, to me, in this situation, and yet she handles well what appears to be a less-than-respectful environment. I have to admit I was put off by the cameraman panning up her chest and then, later, slowly up her thighs. That was tacky at the very least, and made me feel that her looking uncomfortable was most likely due to how the people around her in that room--even those we couldn't see on camera--were treating her. But she handled herself with class.

I agree. It makes you wonder how long that interview really went on--and who knows. Maybe she did end it sooner than planned.

I would be curious if Alizee herself has seen this video. When the camera pans to her chest, I first took it in a way that he (I am assuming the cameraman is a he) was showing the design on her shirt. But add the leg panning and it makes it pretty clear what is on his mind. Then the guy shuffling around in back of Alizee, taping a sound cord to her blouse. Maybe that is what she is getting irritated at 1:10? I don't think she picked that blouse up at Wal-Mart and intends to wash it with her bath towels on the hot cycle. It's probably brand new and pricey and he is sticking tape to it.

Many of her best pictures are with her wearing very simple outfits, as you say. She has great taste in street clothes.

She seemed to be very comfortable with the interviewer so it probably went to the end.

Something I've always wondered about Ella Elle La...

Is it playback?

It seems like playback to me. But would they really do a studio recording of Ella Elle La just so that it could be used once as playback? (Maybe they were planning on including Ella Elle La on an album???)
