Alizée and her colleagues.
Jenifer, Lorie, Amel, and I, we're near the same age... but we're each a different thing. And that's good! That proves that in France, you can offer different things, unlike in the United States where you have to be R&B. I like to do a mix of things. In my video, I have an 18th century corset, and sneakers. I like mixing styles and time periods, to avoid being out of fashion in 6 months.

Hurry! To the stage!
I hope to quickly go out on tour. We've talked about it for 2008, but the dates are far from being fixed. And yes, I'll sing Lolita, it's required! But the old songs will be reorchestrated in accordance with the new sound of Psychédélices.

What's new?
Two months before release, Mademoiselle Juliette, her first single, was already on the net. Studio assistants spread it there. Fifty Sixty, then Mademoiselle Juliette. The unmixed track wasn't badly received by critics. The current single doesn't have much to do with it though!
Christmas will be a magical time for Alizée. Since the birth of her daughter, the magic of it has returned for her family. At two and a half years old, Anny-Lee is a big fan of Dora the Explorer.
After the holidays, Alizée is expected in Russia, Germany, and in Mexico, where her album releases simultaneously. She also hopes to return to Japan, and take her daughter on travels while she still isn't in school.
Ok - #1

SOMEONE PLEASE TELL HER SHE CAN DO ANY-DAM-THING she WANTS IN THE U.S.!!! ZOMG!

There are 300 million of us! WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME! Similar to France , in fact, as we all like different things!

#2 - 2008 tour! I LOVE IT!

While I certainly know it isn't true you have to do R&B or hip-hop to succeed here, I can certainly understand why she might get that impression from afar.

Look at the young female artists who get the most airtime, and whose work is best known in France - Rihanna, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears... they all end up sounding pretty much the same. The stuff that gets played on TRL (MTV being the one television station in existence that can be received anywhere on the face of the Earth) is generally either R&B or hip-hop stuff, or bubble-gum pop. On my occasional forays there, I don't recall a lot of rock, jazz, metal, alternative, or other styles. Maybe some emo stuff here and there.

Easy Ed, lets go with the one show somewhere in the U.S. first. Then she can decide to tour here. I would hope for a concert somewhere first before jumping to a tour, hey don't get me wrong I would love for her to tour here. None the less I WILL be a that concert!

Several articles that don't look familiar to me are posted at Psychalizee. I'm sorry that I'm having some trouble figuring out how to hot-link the relevant images so I will just direct you all to the appropriate thread. Interestingly, there was another earlier article wholly dedicated to explicitly stating that they never registered their marriage in France.

EDIT: I figured out how to hotlink them. But maybe there are too many in one post now.

RE-EDIT: I see now that RMJ posted what looks to be about the same set at AF over the last couple of weeks in their magazine thread. http://www.alizee-forum.com/showthre...374#post634374

RE-re-edit: No point in copying thumbnails that are available on AF.

Yeah, that's what I thought, but I can sorta see how see could say that. She probably didn't really mean it - just an impression at the time she said it. And maybe does have a different idea of how to define R&B than most of us.

I do want to hear Alizée sing her old songs, but I'm a bit concerned about the whole reorchestrating thing. I like Laurent's music as it is. It was fine with Moi...Lolita on StarAc, but I wonder about a whole concert. Well, I guess I must continue to fight the battle of letting it go. Fortunately, I can now watch/listen to her earlier stuff and recent stuff (as opposed to not being able to enjoy both).

I figured she'd want to have more kids. We all like Alizée as she is, but part of that personality means she does not dedicate herself to her music and her fans. We must share. Once again, though, it will be hard for the fans. She'll have to take the time away for it. May the embers of Alizée adoration ever glow within us how so ever long we are apart.

That concert tour in France will happen. I hope we can all participate. It's going to be so awesome!

Thanks for the links fs. I guess I'm still suffering from the "recent fan" syndrome because some of the things RMJ explained I didn't know, or at least my perceptions of them were different and it frankly kind of surprised me.

Not surprised though about what Lili said about there being too much R&B in America's current music. It seems that the majority of music exported from US is R&B or some form of it, besides these kind of perceptions and cognitive prejudice are very common all over the world, so her reasoning is misplaced but understandable.

Alizée said that there is to much R&B in American music? I am trying to understand why would she say that? Ehh not like I listen to any of this music here. I listen to alot of foreign music. Mostly Alizée and Italian music. Will that effect her decision to come here and play a concert for her American fans?

I wish Alizee would come do a concert in America. Ive seen about every video there is to see on her, and when she was being interviewed about where she will go in tour it usually included Japan and other places across Europe.

Tour are consequences of album sales. Are Alizée albums out in the US?? Do they sell well?
