Maybe it's the aftermath of her birthday.

Maybe a magazine article we missed?

I can't answer it but it could be a result of her birthday, or a magazine article, but I can't figure it out. I try to pay close attention to what is going on. The meaning of 'People Talking About' is still fuzzy to me. It does strange things, seems to react slowly at times and then suddenly at others. Sometimes it makes big jumps and other times only small ones. It feels to me more like an average or a trend than something that is more specific. That's all I have. |

Spreadsheet and Chart in post 161 updated to September 14th.
http://alizeeamerica.com/forums/show...&postcount=161 September 14th - I have added a new ratio - the Facebook/Instagram ratio. I spotted an interesting trend with these two over time, so I decided to actually add the ratio to the chart. It is located directly to the left of the weekly Facebook total. It shows the ratio of new Facebook adds for the week to the number of Instagram adds for the week. What is interesting about this ratio is that currently she is adding more Instagram followers per week than she is adding Facebook followers. Back in the DALS4 days, it was running on average 10:1. It peaked at 30:1 around the time she won (she was adding 30 new Facebook followers to every one Instagram follower she was adding). As you can see in the above chart, this is now down to 0.7 : 1. Instagram jumped up suddenly in July, and is now averaging about 2,000 new adds per week. Facebook, which peaked at over 14,000 adds per week, is now down around 1,400 per week. Interesting change, don't you think? Any theories?

Although I really enjoy Alizee's music, that is not why I'm a fan. I'm a fan because I adore Alizee. I didn't buy her last album because I was holding out for one autographed by her. She didn't autograph this album, so I didn't buy a copy. I believe Alizee has a lot of fans like me. The result is a large and ardent fan base that does not translate into financial success. My impression from the numbers Scruffydog gave out was that the tour tickets were selling pretty well. The theaters weren't sold out but they were filling up. I was prepared to cross the Atlantic to see one of those shows. If the tour tickets were selling but the album wasn't, why shut the tour down? Alizee has been out of the public eye now for months. Does she usually take such long vacations? I am worried that she is discouraged--that she may be in trouble emotionally. Last edited by Ray4AJ; 09-14-2014 at 06:45 PM.. The 'PTA' numbers actually dropped a bit in the first few days after the announcement, from where they were in the few days before the announcement. This is why I think these figures lag from the actual activity, and why I don't really know what they truly represent. |
