one of my friends showed me an awsome site to listen to new bands or good songs, pandora.com ... the other day i requested for alizee, ( they didn't have her!) and i got this:

"Hey there Bob,

Thanks for the recommendation of Alizee. We're glad you're enjoying
Pandora! Unfortunately we are working hard to build up our French music
collection. You've probably noticed that Pandora is rather US-centric
right now. That's going to start changing as we introduce music from
around the world. We have a large collection amassed already, but it
won't be released right away because we need to have a critical mass of
matchable songs in order to offer a reasonable listening experience. It
will also require analyzing the music differently than we currently do
-- different styles of music require different listening skills on the
parts of our Music Analysts. We're expanding the kinds of music we
stream every day. We're of course also working on the licensing rights
to offer our service commercially overseas.

just letting you all know

and im sure if other people requested it, they would put it up faster.. just throwing it out there

Well, you'd need more people requesting other european music, so they have more songs to chose from, for them to start playing Alizée. IMO.

I requested Alizée months ago and got the exact same response (minus the "Bob").

I sent a request in about two weeks ago and this is the response I got:

"Hello -

We're glad you're enjoying Pandora! We appreciate your recommendation. We're getting so many great music suggestions every day. I've logged your request and it might take us some time, but we'll try to research the music you recommended.

Maybe if they get enough requests for an artist, they'll move them up on the priority list?

When the hell are they going to add Alizee then.

We should all request them, I am going to go and try it now.

I used Pandora for a little while but now I use the Last.fm player whenever I want to explore other bands.
