I love watching the Olympics... I'm glad Phelps didn't get gold for once... it serves him right for smoking weed and not training as hard as his competitors. They earned it!

Anyone see the 156 USA basketball win? I saw the first quarter when they scored 49 points and LeBron and Kobe where just owning the place but I turned it off because I knew who was obviously going to win. Edit: btw anyone else thing the US apologizing for the win is complete bullshit? http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/ol...icle-1.1128559

i kinda feel bad lol... i dont watch sporting events EVER. it's just... boring... i mean, why watch someone else play sports when i could go out and do it myself? not that i am really into playing sports that much anyways. same goes for international ones. imho, america playing against other countries is the same as if my hometown teamed played against other states. its just a bigger scale, but the same ratio.
lol ironically i love playing video games. but i dont mind watching someone else play those. wierd. o.O

I guess many people watch sports for what they can't do. If it was not so then highest level of any game wouldn't be more popular than its lower levels. I mean everyone can run 100m, but an ordinary guy can't do it in 10 seconds. Yes, playing the game has it's own fun, but watching the game is completely different experience.

Very exciting 100m final coming up. I guess we will see a new freakish world record today.

I am especially amazed by the ladies gymnastic team and the hard work that they put in to succeed. Truly inspirational.
