Well, duh. For the actual event the verdict was "guilty".

But after that verdict it's time for the sentencing hearings. There a judge can decide to replace the jail time with the lighter sentence, like probation - if (!) the person stopped drinking, went to therapy, showed the remorse.

On the pictures you clearly see the lack of remorse.
