A few years ago Inseme had a fund drive in Ajaccio/Corsica to raise money to buy an apartment in a building near the hospital in Marseille where people from Corsica with illnesses such as cancer go for treatment. That way the family can stay for free near by the hospital. They put a plaque up in the lobby of those who donated and one of those names is "Alizée America". Another little part of our history.

That is wonderful! I have always wanted to be involved in some kind of non-profit effort, and a couple of years ago I got to thinking about trying to help do something of this sort. There is a big cancer center not far from where I live. Patients travel from all over the country to have treatment there. There is a sort of boarding house/hotel where patients can stay for free during their chemotherapy or radiation or other treatment process. But, it is often booked up and there are no guarantees there will be space for everyone all the time. I would love to be part of helping set up a facility like that.
