Currently #50 on the charts!
Is this good for the 3rd day after release?
The fifty most downloaded song on iTunes is Mademoiselle Juliette. Think it'll eventually break the ten? |

I wonder why it's so much lower than virginmega and fnac?

My guess is that it's simply because iTunes is the biggest vendor, and so only the more discriminating purchasers will bypass iTunes and look for one of the others. Those more discriminating purchasers are also more likely to like Alizée's music.
At the same time, Killian informed me that MJ was #85 on iTunes earlier, so it is apparently moving up.

We don't know what system any of them are using for measuring time period during which sales count. It's possible a place like Virgin of FNAC are using daily totals, and iTunes is using weekly, or some such equivalent.
Who knows what the relative popularity and volume of those sites is relative to each-other as well. A place like iTunes she's more likely to be competing with every possible type of music, from many time periods, as opposed to Virgin and FNAC where I'm guessing (only a guess) they focus downloading more on recent popular stuff.

If you go further in to only Variété Française, Alizée is now #11 on the charts. One more spot, and she'll be in the top ten!
She only has to get ahead of Christophe Willem's Double Je, which was the top seller at one point, so it's surely dropping further. I only listened to it yesterday, and it's actually quite good.

Hmm, something pretty nifty - I just heard a radio spot advertising Mademoiselle Juliette.
It was quite quick, perhaps 10 seconds, but said something like... "Alizée, her new single, Mademoiselle Juliette, available now from download platforms" while playing a quick extract in the background. Glad to see they're tossing some radio ads for it out there, in addition to the normal play cycle :-) ---Edit--- Also just heard her doing a spoken plug for le 6/9 :-) "Hello, this is Alizée, you're listening to le 6/9 on NRJ" I believe she said (was a bit distracted... was playing Counterstike: Source at the time!)

That was something that suprised me. On Sunday to Monday in Paris, there wasn't a single mention of it to be found anywhere, I was getting worried. But, looks like they were just slow starters
