From what I've seen Paris is generally on par with any major city. Living in downtown Paris is more expensive than in the surrounding areas but that is likely where you would want to be. Finding work though is very difficult, even with French working papers, and being from outside of Europe you won't have them and it makes finding a legal job extremely difficult (legal in that you aren't just paid cash under the table).

Every city has its rich and poor side. Everyone bases their opinion on the part of city they have seen. In my mind I see Paris as the most beautiful city and the picture supports my imagination.

Gorgeous photography, wow - it's such a massive contrast to what I see here which is flat red earth in the Australian outback. Harsh and beautiful at the same time.

Quad cities as on the Illinois/ Iowa border? Cause my hometown is a little over an hour from there!

If you like Paris, here are lots of webcams around it:
http://www.paris-live.com/ This zoom on the Eiffel tower is great! http://www.paris-live.com/paris_webc...tower_cam4.htm Now try to recognize RMJ meeting Alizée near that pillar |
