Does anyone know if "trackonerecordings" is legitimate?
Hey guys,
I got a message from "trackonerecordings" today on youtube, saying that they would pay me $50 if I audioswapped one of their songs onto my video that seems to get a lot of hits This was quite hilarious to me, since after 3-4 years I would be making money off of some piece of crap I made to see if I could figure out movie maker. But naturally, anything on the internet telling me I can make money kinda freaks me out (I mean, this could be a Nigerian prince on the other end) So after dismissing them, and lying/saying that "€40 isn't enough for me to worry about this", they replied back saying they've increased their offer to $60. Now, I'm fairly excited (since that's a good chunk of cash towards my $3000 D700 goal)... but I don't want to accidentally give away my identity or sell my address to marketers or something. Has anybody heard of these guys? I know absolutely nothing about this type of deal (I'm 15...), can any of the adults help me out? Anybody involved in the online/media/youtube/etc crowd and know about this stuff?
