Default Fifty Sixty - An apology

I've probably said it on here before that , while I adore the current album , I always thought that "Fifty Sixty" was one of the weakest tracks. This was in spite of the new video which I think is pretty refreshing and good fun too.

However having the spent the last couple of days driving around the country , enjoying what seems like the first sunshine this year , the song is FANTASTIC to listen to while driving.I just felt it to be an ideal song for rattling along with the windows down and the volume cranked way up.

While it will never be my favourite track , "Par Les Paupieres" will always remain undefeated , I've seen the song in a whole new light.

This has got me wondering whether anyone else has found the same thing with any other tracks ,where you just need to find the right setting to bring out the best in a song.Alizee or otherwise ?

Bow to your knees and repent if you please.

I don't like Par Mon Paupieres or Decollage, but Decollage is fun enough at full volume. I can live with Par Mon Paupieres, but it's not very good.

I used to not like Abracadabra so much, but I developed a taste for the cats.

I keep her new album in my truck. I love driving and listening to 50/60 and Lillytown on my way somewhere. I listen to Phycadelics and Idealizer on my way home.

I can't stand Decollage (and I'm not a big fan of Mon Maquis and Abracadbra).

I don't understand the dislike for 50/60? I dig that song. Its the typical FUN Alizée song. Not that she is typical.

Out of the 3 albums, each one tends to have just 1 song I don't like that much. Those 3 songs are Abracadabra, Coeur Deja Pris & Decollege. They are OK songs but I usually skip them.
