You know, I was so unsure, but that was my thought too. I'm sure I've seen the pic, but how? I know RMJ took some photos, but it doesn't seem like that would have been one of them. Oh yeah, didn't we eventually get a few pics out? That must be it.

BTW, follow ALS' above link & on the 2nd page & 2nd post from the bottom is how I surmised it's her Kermlin/Red Square photo session. (I hope they surface someday, like maybe in another Instant-mag 2.)

Thanks all for your input on solving this one. With the evidence that was presented, I think it is safe to conclude that it is from Moscow.

I have to say as soon as I saw this yesterday, it became an instant favorite. Something about the strong confidence that her face is portraying (and of course her unmatched beauty, but that is a given) I wish we had access to the original, without all the junk on it.

Update:
We are a funny pepole you know. Here we are searching the "World" wide web to source the origin of this photo, but we forget to look in our own house. Just take a peek at the Moscow gallery on this site, and Yatzee! Same Jacket and Hair. Duh!

But I still want to know where the original is

Yes, and just because it isn't published doesn't necessarily mean that no one has seen it. Also, there are web sites, such as wireimage.com, that have photos I've never seen published anywhere else, such as a bunch of photos from the 2002 NRJ Music awards in Cannes. It's not really clear if or how one can get high quality access to those photos though. In the case of wireimage.com you can pay $75 for a month of access to their entire collection.

I'm going to disconnect my internet for a few days and won't reconnect until I'm in Colorado. I'm going to drive with my dad tomorrow at noon (pacific) with the last load of furniture... So don't anybody freak out and think I stole a bunch of money and flew to France or anything (yet)....
