Considering origin of a style is hard to determine and often never able to be done, the presentation of a style plays the role.

Old Alizée was still Alizée because she was the one presenting the style, New Alizée is still Alizée because she's still presenting the style.

Well if you take the Name/adjective in front of Alizée and took it as implying the influence of style it makes sense....
