Default She’s sowing seeds, she’s burning trees

Just found this tribute on YouTube:

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9LH41VUVMCw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Of course, I also found out that it was presented on AAm before:

I think this will become my favourite tribute before too long. The song is quite good and I really like the combination lyrics and images. And Alizée is even marching to the beat at 1:40.
Watching it saddens me though. Although I discovered Alizée just a few months ago, I feel there is something lost, something gone forever when I watch this. Wanted to ask people, do you sometimes feel like Alizée entered your life and captured your heart, but that she just let go of it at some point... like “She’s sowing seeds, she’s burning trees”.

Ok, I am going to watch this one more time now...

That one is a few years old but still a great tribute video.

I heard a song on the radio a few months ago that if I had any skills at making videos I would use it to put one together in a minute.

If any of you were thinking of putting a video together can I suggest the song One in a Million by the Detroit Band The Romantics. It's off their Album In Heat 1983. The music video is up on you tube.

Watch the video, then replay it with the window closed, and listen to the words. It was those words that grabbed my attention at work when it came on the radio. That song gets me thinking about Alizée.

I'm going put the video up on the other than Alizée Videos thread.

Glad you liked it, Un-rêve.

I figured a few people might have missed this great tribute. It is now officially my favourite one, but it really does bring a melancholy feeling... Makes you wonder if Alizée “got lost on the way”...

This is one of my favorite fan-made video. Though the video doesn't look to be very well synchronized, but still when you combine the words and feelings, it's awesome.

I know what you mean about the synchronization and, at first, I was wondering why it was so off at some very specific moments and so dead on at some other moments. Now, I think it was all intentional (OK, maybe not... and I really like the fact that for some “synchronizations” the viewer has to be patient and let the images catch up with the lyrics.

Just amazing... I can’t stop watching this. HELP!!

Only two slight improvements for me; I would have used the En concert second guitar (acoustic) images at the very beginning (after the drums) and I would not have used that footage of the worst haircut/outfit combination to have ever adorned Alizée’s body at 3:24.

And BTW, I started this new thread because I thought some people might have wanted to discuss some of the lyrics in relation to Alizée’s career or how they feel about her, but if this turns out to be a simple fan art discussion, do feel free to merge this thread with the original one.

This has always been one of my favorite fan videos too. As far as the lyrics go, it is typical of fan videos to find a song that has a few lines that really say what one wants to convey, but as far as being an overall good fit, well that's another story I think.

@Corsaire, you said that you feel there is something lost, something gone forever. This may be because of the original feel of the song. It might be useful to look at the original song and video to see how it is much different than the imagery we get when Alizée is superimposed over the same song. Looking at this video, it doesn't seem at all like the kind of feeling we would associate with the image of Alizée as we know her.
