Brad, as I type this post on my Wii, I again ask the question: is there some sort of fallback for cases in which we don't have flash 8? I don't really mind if not, and I can understand why, but Flash 7 is a much more universal video format than Flash 8 is.

yes but the quality difference between flash 7 and flash 8 is HUGE, and flash 8 allows much smaller file sizes. Flash 8 allows the use of the On2 VP6 codec, which is way our flash videos are so much better than videos on youtube for example.
if anything I would switch to quicktime, or DIVX. But flash is so universal, and this site isn't really meant to be the only way to view videos. This is more of a 'discovery' and 'convenience' kind of thing. over 95% of all computers already have flash 8 installed, ready to go. Last edited by brad; 10-10-2007 at 11:18 PM.. |
