im hoping srbski is right. i love when she sings in english, though sometimes its hard to follow, espeically with Amelie, though the other ones like I'm Fed Up, I'm Not Twenty and Youpidou were easy enough.

BUT. a song in spanish?? that'll be intresting to hear.

Ahem*. If I may? Alizee's last album's were really good. However, I did notice a downward progression of "upbeat" songs. Which, in my opinion, are the songs that are really good. (Ex. Abracadabra: I hated it. With a passion. Moi Lolita: I loved it.) Get it? I mean think about it. I'd like to take a quick poll of those of you who think her upbeat songs are just overall better. They just attract more fans is all I am saying. If Alizee took notice of that, she would continue producing those types of songs. Catch my drift?

Oh and I think the title will be in french. Amen.

In the Chateau Marmont interview they say
Quote:
Un second maxi puis un album pour début 2010. Enfin une partie de la production du prochain album d’Alizée et un titre - Beagle - sur le prochain Maison Kitsuné 7, The Lucky One.
Maybe it's just me, but it sounds like the title is Beagle? kinda hard trying to interpret the rather poor google translation.

i feel the exact same way. for her last album, the songs that i really liked were the more upbeat ones, like mad. Julliete, fifty sixty, lilly town, decollege, and jamais plus.

That was how I felt at first, definitely, and Lilly Town, Fifty Sixty and Decollage are still my favorite songs off the album...but the ballads have really grown on me over time. Par les Paupieres I absolutely adore now, and while Idealiser and the title track totally turned me off the first few times I heard them, I find both eminently listenable now. (In contrast, I find myself becoming less and less enchanted with Melle Julliette over time, to the point where I actually skip it in iTunes most days now.)

I think the up-tempo numbers are just easier to hook into right away. It's an endorphin thing, or something. The ballads are more of an acquired taste, but tend to be a better showcase for her voice.

I think "Beagle" is the song they did for Maison Kitsuné.

Well, I'm glad you hear it that way. (thinking of the meaning of the words)
And yeah, I keep wondering when they will release the name of the album or something. Haven't checked it out, but PsychAlizee says Sep 9th for release date. That's pretty specific (not that dates necessarily mean anything when it comes to Alizée).
