Could White Rabbit be about one of those recurrent themes in mass-oriented entertainment ?...

Those videos remind me of the old days sitting in my darkened room with only the turntable to gaze at while listening to music.

Seems so long ago... I’m happy to still get that vintage crackling sound when I move my body out of the bed every morning...

Whoa, good one, Corsaire! Yeah, snap, crackle and pop.

Speaking of which, for a special treat, I was playing the vinyl LP "Wish You Were Here" for the kids the other night. (They were a little impressed, too...)

Actually, one of the greatest LP's ever is Joe Jackson's Body And Soul. He and the band rehearsed until they were perfect, then recorded it in one shot in front of a live audience that was asked to remain silent throughout (and managed)! The sound quality, musicianship, and the music itself are way beyond anything. It blows my mind every time. And a little hiss and crackle only adds to the thrill. I recall Joe Jackson was vehemently against CD's and digital recording when they first appeared, and this was a valiant effort on his part to prove his point. Here's a sample:

Best cover of any song I've ever heard:

Apparently I don't get taxes taken out of my paycheck because I'm a full time student.

Finally, I found a good purpose for public education.

I'm that much closer to the beloved D7000.
