Well, I got smacked in the eye the other day, and now I'm both near sighted and far sighted in my left eye.. and the pupils don't dilate properly either, so a lightbulb is like a miniature sun to my left eye.

Holy crap I hope it's not permanent...

Thanks, I did! But all they gave me were these 2 eye drops.. not much effect.

I now have to wear an eye patch over my left eye. Not because it's painful, but it's impossible to see properly when you're getting one clear image from one eye, but an overly bright and indistinguishable blurry image from the other. This is not going to go well for my career in the Army either.

I'm headed back to them this weekend... Jeez I hope I don't have to get surgery or anything..

Default Career advice.

Jungman, Snake was cool, sure, but he wouldn't have lasted in the army. And not just because of the eyepatch - more because he had a strong aversion to following orders.

I'm thinking more like maybe Wasabs should switch to Navy ( ) so then he could commandeer a ship and go pirate.

Okay, seriously, Wasab, has anyone mentioned "detached retina" to you yet? If not, go get another exam from another specialist. Maybe try the Illinois College of Optometry at 3241 South Michigan in Chicago. Great people there, and they'll give you student rates. Worked for me (but of course that was a while ago).

Well...In my school I go down the stairs. There are a herd or seniors at the bottom I don't feel like weaving my way through. So I go through the doors that lead outside, where I see my friend. We are walking down the alley. Hey what the heck is a fence doing at the end of the alley. Who cares I see people on the other side, there must be a way through. Ahhh. Crap. There isn't. Warning bell rings (two mins to get to class.) I can fit under the fence. Yay I do!

Ok! Throw my bag over! *Heave* *Miss* *Crash*

Whatever. Ok my friend climbs over and cuts his hand on the top. We run to get first aid. WTH? Why is back all wet? O crap! My complementary water bottle broke! My bag is soaked. I POUR OUT MY BACKPACK. Musta been a gallon of water in there! Luckily nothing important got wet.

Wow, thanks for the info!

(Navy??? How dare thee! You know that they're our bitter rival! )

But, I saw my doctor, and apparently it's not too bad.

When I initially got hit, there was bleeding in my eye, so he gave me these drops that made my pupils dilate completely.. only now, they're stuck that way.

So now I'm off that eye drop, and on something else. Though apparently this could take a couple weeks.

Eye patch for now!
