I have a reaction to Corsica, especially Ajaccio, much like my reaction to Alizée. That is, when I see pictures of the island and the town, it's with recognition, just as, the first time I saw one of Alizée's videos, I felt I was seeing someone I knew. It made me smile, as if I were watching a long-lost friend perform.

I don't think the two are connected even though I know she was born there. But I know I must go there when I can, and it may be where I'll retire to.

I have always thought that Corsica was nothing but what you see from Alizée's random instagram stories: palm-trees and beautiful beaches. But I have just found these videos:

So there is a lot of stuff there. What surprised me are those overhanging cliffs. I would go there just for that.
I thought you might found it interesting too.

Actually these two guys made short vlogs about each day of their trip to the southern area of the island.
Unfortunately there are no english subtitles but I'll leave the link to the playlist anyway because, if you're interested, the views are amazing.

I made a few trips there. I should put together a video of some of the better pictures I've taken.

Thanks-- that's a good set of videos.
You can set subtitles to "autotranslate - English".

Cool, I didn't know this feature. It may be very useful for other videos too, even though the translation has a certain ''google-translate'' style. lol
Thanks.

A couple of male singers I like from Les Enfoires is Patrick Fiori and Patrick Bruel. They made a song about Corsica and a video. Their voices are awesome and the video really shows the beauty of Corsica.

I mentioned recently before that if I'm not mistaken, Patrick Fiori's mother was from Corsican and his father was from Armenia.

I looked to see what Patrick Bruel's recent ancestry looked like and he was born in Algeria. I believe his father was born in Algeria but it looks like his mother was French. The French ruled Algeria for over 130 years ending in 1962 and from what I read, I believe there is a mix of Algerian and French in his father's past. At a young age, Patrick's father abandoned him and his wife. She along with Patrick moved to the Paris area.

Here Bruel definitely noticed the beautiful young artist from Corsica!
