AIS is 100% correct.
The UK is NOT England. It is England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, IOM, Channel Islands etc etc.
It's a common misconception to associate everything British with England. Which is not, obviously, correct.
I don't suspect that the Welsh have any problem with the French?

Thanks

I just had a conversation in chat with my French friend who was born in Ajaccio. He is now living in London in a shared flat with two Spaniards and working for a Japanese company and is cooking Italian for dinner tonight. Do we live in an interesting, changing world or what?
