its great that theres a fan of this type of music in the forum aFrenchie
Here are some videos of Jean-Luc Ponty if you want:
http://youtube.com/results?search_qu...&search=Search
Most of them are from this year, some others from the 70s with John McLaughlin (Mahavishnu Orchestra) but the image quality is bad.

Try the first one in the list for example (2006)

Need I say I'm a HUGE fan of Ponty? I don't know where you're from btw. Are you an Italian? (Turin), anyway here are all his CDs at Amazon.com (US): here. You can read visitors' comments and listen to extracts.
(or at Amazon.fr: here)

Yes! And Return to Forever, his old band, esp. with Al Di Meola, Stanley Clarke and Steve Gadd

Maybe because it is getting late here I felt like posting what I happened to be listening to, instead of the French videos I was going to put up. This is probably only going to appeal to very few of you but it is some of the most relaxing music I've heard. I found out about this group because the organist is actually the organist at Saint Mary's Basilica where I went to mass (when I actually went) while living in Halifax, and to hear it played in person on the Basilica's Casavant Frères organ is so much nicer than these recordings. Because of the organ's size you can almost feel the lower notes when they are played. When going to a concert you are told to bring a pillow and find a comfortable place to lie down close your eyes and let the music wash over you, especially nice when you have your girlfriend cuddled up with you (although at first it just didn't seem right to be doing that in a church). The group is called Sanctuary, but it is not church music so don't worry.

This piece is called Atiphon
And this one The Heart has its Reasons
And a live recording of Recarcades

And if you want to hear more there are a bunch of other pieces here:http://www.sanctuarymusic.ca/
Go to CD Releases there are some there, if you click More Audio Previews you will get more. Also notice the three live concert recordings on the right of the CD Releases page.

Here is the video of them performing The Heart has its Reasons, it is not at St Mary's though. But at an actual concert you don't often get to see them because the organ console is located in the balcony at the back of the Basilica. The video is not all that interesting, or necessary because it is best just to lay back close your eyes and experience the music, but this is the offsite video section.

Neoteny, except for the sexy part I guess your ex-wife and I have the same opinion, there. ~

This isn't Tool, it's a bluegrass cover of Ace of Spades by Hayseed Dixie or something like that, it's quite good.

This is the Notorious B.I.G. featuring 112 with "Sky's the Limit". Excellent track, Biggie was so good.

And, finally, I have to worm a Tool vid in here somewhere. This is the music video for Parabol/Parabola.
