In my quest to discover more French music I came across this track. "Manau - La Tribu de Dana". The song is kind of cheesy, but I was wondering if anyone knew where that was filmed. It looks really nice I'd like to visit that castle next time I'm in France... Edit: Seems the band is from Brittany, I suppose that's where it was filmed.. It's a rap (so ugly-)"adaptation" of "Tri Martolod" by Alan Stivell a very well known Breton singer/musician (Brittany).
Please listen to the original in Breton.  I didn't even know they spoke a different language  The guy singing the song kind of looks like Raël... You're right, the original is much better... the fact that that rap song ripped of the melody makes it even more crappy! Edit: w00t 100 posts! Last edited by jaco; 12-20-2006 at 03:12 PM..

Too bad, I haven't found videos of other Stivell's old "standards" on YouTube. Here's one quite recent and "modern":
Far from as good as "Tri martolod" or any other of his old songs though. At least, you'll see him on another instrument Haha, true about Raël's resemblance  .
